Job summary

Van Buren Tech in Lawrence, Michigan seeks an Auto Program Assistant to support three auto instructors with daily skill demonstrations, instruction, and assessment within the auto program for high school students.

The role requires ASE or MI Automotive Technician Certification, at least two years in the auto industry, and the ability to work with diverse student groups in a hands-on learning environment. Regular hours 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a master agreement guide.

• Help prepare materials and equipment for daily class activities and practical demonstrations.
• Monitor and maintain a safe and supportive classroom and lab environment.
• Aid in the supervision of students during clinical practice and fieldwork.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including - record-keeping and classroom management.
• Valid driver’s license required.
