Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is hiring for an Auto Press Packer on 2nd shift. Work Mon-Thu from 2:30 pm to 1:00 am. The role involves inspecting unfired tile, packing into setters, and loading onto pallets, with emphasis on safety and quality.

This is a 2nd shift position working Monday to Thursday from 2:30 pm to 1:00 am. The hourly rate of pay is $23.18 with the opportunity to earn an additional $1 to $2 per hour more incentive rate.

The Auto Press Packer inspects and packs unfired tile into setters.

Major Functions And Scope

• Inspects tile for quality defects as specified in the control plans.
• Packs tile into setters and loads full setters onto pallets.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Education And Knowledge

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

• 0 -1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.

Competencies

• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping skills and listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
