Job summary

Dal-Tile is hiring a Press Operator for the 2nd shift at the Rt 30 location. Monitor and clean press equipment to ensure quality standards are met, and help maintain a safe, organized work area.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0–1 year of manufacturing experience. You will identify minor mechanical issues, follow SOPs, and report problems to your supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of manufacturing/production experience.
• Able to read and understand basic English; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and cleans press equipment to ensure quality standards.
• Identifies minor mechanical problems and performs adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Performs routine cleaning of equipment as needed for color changes.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

This is a 2nd shift position working Monday to Thursday from 2:30pm to 1:00am at the Rt 30 location. The hourly rate of pay is $23.18.

The Press Operator monitors and cleans press equipment to ensure quality standards are met.

Major Functions and Scope:

• Monitors efficient operation of press equipment within control plans.
• Identifies minor mechanical problems and performs adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Performs routine cleaning of equipment as needed for color changes.
• Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Education and Knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

• 0 -1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.

Competencies:

• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Good record keeping skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Accurate measurement capability.
• Ability to understand and speak basic English.
• Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
