Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high levels of service to retail and installer customers. You will greet customers, assist with merchandise selection, and support store management with daily tasks in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle cash, returns, pricing quotes, and phone inquiries while promoting company service programs. The role includes occasional driving and in-store services, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all company customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot).
• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists with professional customers as needed.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
• Answer store calls, lookup parts, quote prices, and offer Low-Price Guarantee.
• Maintain and secure cash drawer, accept payments, and process credit card transactions.
• Process exchanges and returns per policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and courteously.
• Assist with image maker and planogram updates, stocking shelves, and cleaning.
• Perform daily operational tasks including returns to distribution, stock counts, etc.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
• Provide in-store services (wipers, batteries, test charging, code scanning, etc.).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if needed and driving record meets requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
