Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Texas is seeking a Parts Specialist to provide high level service to retail and installer customers and support store management. You will greet customers, assist with merchandise, handle cash and returns, look up prices, quote items, and promote related products while following company policies.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged; ASE certification is preferred to support technical requests.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Ability to provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service.
• ASE certification is preferred; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist them in selecting merchandise.
• Support managers and installers in servicing professional customers.
• Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions per policy.
• Process exchanges and returns for credit.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Perform daily store tasks (stocking, planogram updates, freight, rotations).
• Operate store equipment after training and meet company requirements.
• Provide in-store services (e.g., wipers, batteries, headlights).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
