Job summary

BYOT Auto Parts is seeking a full-time in-person Sales Associate to join our team in Texas. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help maintain a clean and organized store while promoting a safety-first culture.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, product knowledge, and adherence to company policies. Prior retail experience is preferred, and bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required. Opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• Proficient in automotive part identification and recognize parts relative to customer needs.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.

• Must work safely and maintain a neat appearance.

Responsibilities

• Promote the B.Y.O.T. Auto Parts Safety Culture.
• Be a team player and help the team achieve goals.
• Maintain integrity in all interactions.
• Assist customers in-store or by phone with information and questions.
• Follow loss prevention, risk control, quality assurance and cash handling procedures.
• Assist with housekeeping and general duties as assigned.
• Escalate customer interactions to management when needed.
• Complete sales training and follow the company sales model.
• Participate in ongoing training and education in all areas of the business.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Description Summary

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Promote the B.Y.O.T. Auto Parts Safety Culture.
• Be a team player. Work as a member of the team to help the team achieve its goals.
• Maintain a high level of integrity.
• Provide required information to customers as they enter the store, or during a phone call. Offer friendly and enthusiastic answers to customer questions, test drives, posting vehicles for sale, answer any questions professionally during all phone calls.
• Follow loss prevention, risk control, quality assurance, and proper cash handling procedures always.
• Work as a team towards housekeeping, janitorial, and other duties as assigned by the task list. This can include cleaning tires, loading the tire rack, carrying batteries, changing vehicle batteries, mopping floors, cleaning the offices, restrooms, spraying off vehicles and preparation of putting them on the car lot for sale, etc.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Identify when customer interaction requires assistance from management.
• Complete sales training and follow the B.Y.O.T. Auto Parts Sales Model. Engage in continuous training and education in all areas of the B.Y.O.T. Auto Parts business.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Be proficient in automotive part/product identification and recognize parts and how they relate to our customer's needs.
• Must work safely at all times.
• Must have good people skills with an outgoing friendly positive attitude.
• Able to work retail hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Must have reliable means of transportation.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak in the English language.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.
• Follow company dress code policy, maintaining a well-groomed, neat appearance so as to create a favorable impression with customers.
• Previous experience in a retail environment preferred but not required.
