P4 Automotive in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Parts Counter Associate to assist customers and technicians with parts selection, ordering, and returns. You’ll manage stock and help keep the counter organized.

No automotive parts experience is required, but a willingness to learn the catalog systems and work hands-on is essential. This role offers growth opportunities in the parts department.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service instincts - you're helpful without being asked.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
• Detail-oriented - wrong part number means a wasted trip or a stalled repair.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet through the shift.
• Good communicator who can work with techs, customers, and vendors.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help customers and service technicians identify and locate the correct parts
• Look up parts using electronic catalogs and ordering systems
• Process sales, returns, and warranty claims at the counter
• Receive, verify, and stock incoming parts shipments
• Maintain accurate inventory records and keep the department organized
• Place special orders and follow up on backorders
• Answer phones and respond to parts inquiries
• Coordinate with suppliers on availability and pricing
