Job summary

DeVivo Companies in Middletown, CT seeks a full-time Auto Paint Prepper in an alternative shift. Entry-level opportunity to learn our operations and grow with the team as you prepare vehicles for paint and assist technicians.

You will scrub, mask, and prep surfaces, identify imperfections, and maintain a clean, safe work area while collaborating with a supportive crew. Training and advancement are encouraged within our expanding transportation group.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in a related field.
• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent.
• Be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
• Driver’s license.
• I-CAR or ASE training will set you above the crowd.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles properly for paint, including washing, taping, masking, etc.
• Identify imperfections
• Rub and polish completed vehicles
• Assist technician in other areas as assigned
• Attend/collaborate with team during daily production meetings
• Work closely with coworkers to meet deadlines
• Keep parts area clean and organized for production efficiency
• Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.

DeVivo Companies has an opening for a full-time, alternative-shift Auto Paint Prepper at our body shop in Middletown, CT. Preppers individually prepare each vehicle throughout the repair process to help our technicians deliver high quality repairs. This is an entry level position that offers the opportunity to learn our business operations and grow your career.
