Job summary

DeVivo Companies is seeking an Auto Paint Prepper at our Middletown, CT body shop. This full-time, entry-level role prepares vehicles for paint, including washing, masking, and defect identification, to support high-quality repairs and a smooth workflow.

Qualified applicants will have 1+ years in a related field, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and ideally I-CAR or ASE training.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in a related field.
• High school diploma, trade school or equivalent.
• Be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment.
• Driver's license.
• I-CAR or ASE training will set you above the crowd.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles properly for paint, including washing, taping, masking, etc.
• Identify imperfections
• Rub and polish completed vehicles
• Assist technician in other areas as assigned
• Attend/collaborate with team during daily production meetings
• Work closely with coworkers to meet deadlines
• Keep parts area clean and organized for production efficiency
• Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.

DeVivo Companies has an opening for a full-time, alternative-shift Auto Paint Prepper at our body shop in Middletown, CT. Preppers individually prepare each vehicle throughout the repair process to help our technicians deliver high quality repairs.
