Job summary

CarMax, the nation’s largest used-car retailer, is seeking a Mechanical Associate at our West Point, VA facility to inspect, diagnose, and recondition vehicles. You’ll work with a skilled team using advanced tools to repair engines, brakes, steering, and HVAC while upholding safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering/suspension, brakes, and HVAC.
• Strong health and safety compliance knowledge.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and ASE certifications where required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to CarMax standards.
• Collaborate with a team to solve technical challenges quickly.
• Gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Uphold commitment to customer satisfaction and trust.
