Job summary

CarMax in West Point, VA is seeking a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. You’ll work with a capable team in a climate-controlled facility, gaining hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles while upholding CarMax's standards and customer trust.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing engines, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC, with ongoing training and advanced tools to support your growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
