Job summary

CarMax is hiring a Mechanical Associate to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet high safety and quality standards. You will work with a skilled team to diagnose issues from engines to suspensions and recondition vehicles in a climate-controlled facility.

The role offers hands-on repair experience across various vehicle makes, with ongoing training and career growth opportunities at CarMax. A valid driver’s license and ASE certifications are preferred where required by law.

Qualifications

• Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and compliance.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to CarMax quality standards.
