Job summary

University of Kentucky is seeking an Auto Mechanic II for the North Farm in Lexington, KY. You will maintain and repair farm vehicles and equipment, support crops research, and assist with farm maintenance and facilities duties.

The role requires automotive/equipment maintenance experience, ability to use power tools, diagnostic equipment, and manuals. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with some overtime, at 37.5 hours weekly, benefits include health/vision/dental, retirement plans, and paid time

Qualifications

  • Pesticide Applicator Certification and CDL preferred.
  • Customer service experience is desirable.
  • Strong automotive/equipment maintenance background.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, service and repairs of farm vehicles and equipment.
  • Provide farm support for the crops production program.
  • Assist with research projects and farm maintenance.
  • Handle general facilities duties as needed.

Physical Requirements Requires heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.

Shift Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm (37.5 hours a week) occasional overtime required.

Job Summary The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking a skilled individual to join our team for Auto Mechanic II, at the beautiful off-campus 1800-acre North Farm in Lexington. In this role, you would perform an array of tasks including maintenance, service and repairs of farm vehicles and equipment, provide farm support for the crops production program, assist with research projects, farm maintenance, and other general facilities duties. A strong background in automotive/equipment maintenance and the ability to work with power tools, mechanics hand tools and diagnostic equipment is preferred.
