The University of Kentucky's Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment invites applications for an Auto Mechanic II at the 1800-acre North Farm in Lexington. You will maintain, service, and repair farm vehicles and equipment, support crops research programs, and assist with farm maintenance and facilities tasks.

A strong automotive/equipment maintenance background and the ability to use power tools and diagnostic equipment are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS required.
• 4 yrs of related experience preferred.
• Pesticide Applicator’s Certification and CDL preferred.
• Strong background in automotive/equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, service and repairs of farm vehicles and equipment.
• Provide farm support for crops production programs.
• Assist with research projects and farm maintenance.
• Handle general facilities duties.

Job Summary

The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking a skilled individual to join our team for Auto Mechanic II, at the beautiful off-campus 1800-acre North Farm in Lexington. In this role, you would perform an array of tasks including maintenance, service and repairs of farm vehicles and equipment, provide farm support for the crops production program, assist with research projects, farm maintenance, and other general facilities duties. A strong background in automotive/equipment maintenance and the ability to work with power tools, mechanics hand tools and diagnostic equipment is preferred.
