The City of Nashua is seeking an Auto Mechanic 1st Class to maintain and repair City vehicles and heavy equipment in the Fleet Department. You will diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure readiness and safety.

Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The role is in the AFSCME unit with competitive pay and benefits, and opportunities for growth within the division.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 1 year automotive/repair schooling preferred
• Must be certified for Federal FMCSR
• ASE certification a plus
• Must provide own hand tools
• CDL-B license or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire

Responsabilités

• Perform master mechanic level maintenance in a safe, efficient manner
• Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
• Repair or replace components on City vehicles and equipment in the Fleet Department
