Job summary

Neal Tire & Auto Service in Indiana is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. You will also perform tire services, oil changes, and routine maintenance while delivering outstanding customer service to our community.

Requirements include ASE certification, High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and a background/drug check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASE Certification or Equivalent required.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• 3+ years automotive repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostics and inspections on customer vehicles.
• Perform basic automotive services (tires, oil changes, filters, replacements).
• Carry out tire maintenance and tire changes.
• Provide excellent customer service with clear communication about vehicle findings.

Work Location:In-person

Weekly Day Range: Monday to Friday w/ Weekend Availability as Needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostics and inspections on customer vehicles
• Complete basic automotive services like mounting and balancing tires, tire repairs, oil changes, filters, replacements, and more
• Perform tire maintenance and tire changes on customer vehicles
• Provide superior customer service, which includes providing clear communication and feedback about customer vehicles
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• ASE Certification or Equivalent Required
• Valid Driver's License w/ Safe Driving Record
• Successful Completion of Background Check and Pre-Employment Drug Screening

• Extensive knowledge of auto repair/maintenance procedures and trends
• Ability to operate specialized tools and equipment for car maintenance and repair

Experience:

• Automotive Repair: 3+ years

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day
• Frequent bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and stretching
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
