A manufacturing plant located in Springfield is seeking an Auto Lathe Operator. This role is perfect for individuals who possess mechanical skills, machining expertise, and the capability to conduct precise quality checks. Once training is complete, you will oversee and run several machines to create high-precision components. This is a full-time position on the 2nd shift.

Compensation: $19.15 per hour

Hours: Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Qualifications for the Auto Lathe Operator

• Completion of high school or a GED equivalent
• Prior experience in a machining environment is a plus
• Proficiency in utilizing precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers
• Strong mechanical inclination and a focus on precision
• Capacity to adhere to documented quality standards and procedures
• Help ensure physical safety by lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds on occasion
• Maintain physical stamina to stand, sit, and move throughout the workday
• Support a culture of excellence by prioritizing safety and quality protocols

Auto Lathe Operator Duties

• Run automatic lathe equipment to produce exact parts
• Verify component accuracy through the use of quality control tools
• Observe equipment operation to detect and resolve production problems
• Manage the loading of materials and removal of completed items
• Contribute to team output by managing multiple machines post-training
• Help maintain operational integrity by following all manufacturing and safety guidelines
