Job summary

PORTLAND GLASS OF NASHUA is hiring an Auto Glass Technician to inspect, remove, and install windshields and other automotive glass. You will repair chips, inspect for damaged parts, and coordinate ADAS calibration when required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and auto glass equipment.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, remove, and install windshields and other automotive glass.
  • Repair eligible windshield chips and cracks per industry standards.
  • Inspect for damaged moldings, clips, seals, and related parts.
  • Perform ADAS camera calibration or coordinate when required.
  • Explain services to customers and complete documentation.
  • Follow safety policies and OSHA requirements.
  • Pursue Portland Glass Auto Glass Certification and Autel Certification in ADAS Recalibrations.

As an Auto Glass Technician on the Portland Glass team, you will:
  • Inspect, remove, and install windshields, back glass, door glass, quarter glass, and other automotive glass.
  • Repair eligible windshield chips and cracks according to industry standards.
  • Inspect vehicles for damaged moldings, clips, seals, and related components.
  • Perform ADAS camera calibration or coordinate calibration when required.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and explain completed services, as well as complete required service documentation.
  • Follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and applicable industry standards.
  • Continue education of the latest products and procedures in auto glass repair, and earn a Portland Glass Auto Glass Certification and Autel Certification in ADAS Recalibrations.

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Complete background check and drug screen in accordance with company guidelines.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Prior automotive glass experience or 3+ years of relevant experience in the automotive industry required.

Competitive pay: $20 -$25 per hour

Physical Requirements:

The Associate should be able to stand, sit in an office space, lift 75lbs on occasion, communicate, lift computer equipment, supplies, and materials, and use office equipment and computers.The Associate is exposed to typical office working conditions, as well as conditions in a workshop environment. The Associate must be able to lift and climb ladders, handle glass and related materials, and carry all needed equipment to perform measurements and design assessments.
