Job summary

Glass America is hiring Auto Glass Technicians in Holyoke, MA to replace windshields and windows on vehicles, in-shop or on-site. You will use proper tools to ensure timely, quality installation and complete required paperwork while maintaining safe driving records.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 4–6 years of related experience. Benefits and a competitive hourly wage are provided. Flexibility for travel and strong customer service are valued.

Responsibilities

• Installs auto glass and other auto glass products in-shop or on a mobile basis.
• Utilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers.
• Ensures required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location.
• Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
• May perform auto glass repairs as needed.
• Load glass in the truck as needed.
• Immediately follow up with the Glass Manager on any problems that arise in the installation of the glass.
• Maintain high levels of quality control.
• Provide excellence in customer service.

Job Description:

Auto Glass Technicians for Glass America replace broken or pitted windshields and window glass in motor vehicles.

PRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Including but not limited to:


• Installs auto glass and other auto glass products in-shop or on a mobile basis.


• Utilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers.


• Ensures required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location.


• Maintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.


• May perform auto glass repairs as needed.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE :

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

4-6 years of related work experience is required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position requires no supervision of staff.

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Must possess a valid driver's license.


• Must be at least 18 years of age.


• Must be able stand for long periods of time in the installation of glass.


• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.


• Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling glass.


• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.


• Mechanical aptitude and the skill to operate hand and power tools and equipment


• Must be able to complete background check/MVR and drug screening process.
