Diehl Collision is seeking an experienced Auto Glass Installation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for installing and repairing glass components on various makes and models of vehicles. This is a full-time, hourly position requiring knowledge of the auto industry and strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will work independently and have a high attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $18 to $23, paid biweekly. Our benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a retirement plan, and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Remove and replace damaged or broken vehicle glass
• Inspect and assess glass components
• Determine the appropriate glass type and size for repairs or replacements
• Prepare and clean the installation site
• Install new glass using proper tools and techniques
• Test and ensure proper function of all glass components
• Repair small chips and cracks when possible
• Communicate with customers regarding updates and recommendations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Stay updated with industry advancements and techniques

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of auto glass installation experience
• Knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and glass types
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Flexibility to work occasional weekends and overtime
