Job summary

Ally Bank seeks a Consumer Underwriter – Auto Finance to evaluate, negotiate, and decide consumer offerings within underwriting policies while growing a portfolio of dealers. You will provide best-in-class relationship management across territories to support Ally Auto.

The role emphasizes underwriting judgment, market awareness, and adaptability to build strong dealer partnerships and drive business results in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 1+ years in auto finance consumer underwriting (prime, sub-prime, and/or non-prime) or financial services is required.
• Excellent sales, negotiation, problem solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Increase dealer portfolio revenue by underwriting and risk management.
• Negotiate contracts leveraging high-touch and high-tech capabilities.
• Build and maintain dealer relationships across assigned territories.
• Requires flexibility in work schedule including evenings, limited travel, and weekends.
