Job summary

Arise Financial is seeking a Financial Assistance Specialist III – Collateral to manage the post-repossession process from repossession through final disposal, focusing on timely remarketing and maximizing recovery. You’ll coordinate collateral paperwork, titling, valuation, repairs, and auction activity with internal teams and vendors.

You will work to ensure compliance and accuracy across documentation, vendor coordination, and reporting while supporting cross-functional partners in loan

Qualifications

• 2+ years in auto finance, collections, repossession, remarketing, loan servicing, collateral management, auction operations, or related role.
• Working knowledge of vehicle valuation and remarketing practices including condition reports, auction values, and floor pricing.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate vehicle condition, market values, expenses, and recovery potential.
• Strong organizational skills to manage a high volume of vehicles, documentation, deadlines, and vendor activity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to work with members, vendors, dealers, and internal teams.
• Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn financial, loan servicing, auction, title, and vendor systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage repossessed vehicles from repossession through auction sale and final disposition, minimizing days to sale and maximizing net recovery.
• Prepare, review, and issue post-repossession notices within timelines.
• Manage vehicle title activities including obtaining, reviewing, tracking, and resolving documents.
• Review condition reports, valuations, market information, and historical auction results to support remarketing decisions.
• Establish auction floor prices based on condition, market value, loan exposure, and costs.
• Review bids and offers and make recommendations within authority.
• Evaluate repairs and reconditioning expenses based on impact to sale proceeds.
• Monitor inventory aging and address delays in title, transportation, or auction.
• Track auction results, proceeds, fees, and costs of disposition.
• Maintain collateral records, notices, and vendor activity.
• Monitor vendor performance and identify efficiency improvements.
• Prepare reporting on inventory, days to sale, and auction performance.
• Maintain knowledge of repossession, collateral liquidation, titling, auction practices, and regulations.
