Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a dedicated Porter to support our collision and glass service teams. You will help keep customer vehicles clean before and after repairs, while maintaining spotless shop and office spaces to ensure a smooth customer experience.

The role requires basic education, reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. A valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are needed for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Clear close vision required; 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of interior of office, including trash and dusting.
• Keep production area tidy; dispose waste and organize tools and parts.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in neat condition; shovel sidewalks as needed.
• Pre-wash customer vehicles before repairs begin.
• Clean interior and exterior of customer vehicles after repairs.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
