Job summary

Martin Automotive Group in Dayton, OH is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support the Controller with sales and expense analyses across departments. The role focuses on accurate record-keeping and maintaining data processing to help meet the dealership's objectives.

You will write receipts for car deals, post journal entries, handle warranties and service contracts, reconcile accounts, and assist with daily deposits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of financial statements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Write receipts for car deals.
• Post journal entries accurately.
• Handle warranty cancellations, GAP cancellations and service contracts.
• Monitor adjustments to inventory accounts and ensure proper approvals.
• Open dealership mail and distribute appropriately.
• Monitor and reconcile sheet accounts as needed.
• Post remittance for GAP, Warranty and Premier products sold.
• Report all insurance claims in a timely manner.
• Act as back up for daily deposits.
• Comply with corporate policies and safeguard customer information.
• Complete new employee paperwork on their first day and complete required training.
• Follow Personnel Policy Manual and other corporate policies.
