Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Field Auto Damage Trainee in the South Los Angeles, CA area. You will inspect and assess vehicle damage, estimate repair costs, negotiate settlements, and collaborate with body shops and rental companies to support customers after accidents.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with KPI-driven goals. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license that meets company underwriting guidelines required.
• Customer-facing experience preferred.
• Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs and measurable goals preferred.
• Active Adjusters license preferred (training and exam fees provided).

GEICO’s industry-leading paid trainee program includes 3 weeks of required hands‑on experience at our Ashburn, VA training facility. In addition, 2 weeks in a field training center (NY, TX, CA), with mentors to help you learn and grow.

Field Territory: GEICO Fleet vehicle assigned and responsible for the South Los Angeles, CA area.

Customer Interaction: Consult with involved parties, review insurance contracts, inspect vehicles, write estimates, and manage rental cars.

Problem Resolution: Resolve customer concerns, ensuring a positive experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Customer-facing experience preferred.
• Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and measurable goals preferred.
• Active Adjusters license preferred (training and exam fees provided).

Annual Salary $32.05 - $50.36. The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
