Job summary

GEICO is seeking a FieldAuto Damage Trainee to provide reassurance and solutions after accidents. You will inspect and assess vehicle damage, estimate repair costs, negotiate settlements, and coordinate with body shops, rental agencies, and parts suppliers.

You will operate in the Bakersfield, CA area with a hands-on trainee program. This role involves licensing support, field training at multiple centers, and a strong focus on customer service.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing experience preferred.
• Experience in high-volume call centers with KPIs and measurable goals preferred.
• Active Adjusters license preferred (training and exam fees provided).
• High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with involved parties, review insurance contracts, inspect vehicles, write estimates and manage rental cars.
• Negotiate equitable settlements and partner with body shops, rental companies, and parts providers.
• Resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive experience.
• Drive customer satisfaction through meaningful interactions.
• Inspect vehicles and assess damage to determine repair costs.

Annual Salary

$30.53 - $47.31

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
