Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a General Manager to lead the collision center's daily operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will plan and execute the WOW operating plan, drive sales, profit, and expense targets, and manage the facility and staff with a focus on safety and quality.

You will coach and motivate a team, conduct formal and informal performance reviews, and ensure adherence to policies while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient repair environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer experience while leading day-to-day operations of the collision center.
• Coach and empower team members to achieve performance goals.
• Manage annual and monthly operating budgets, forecasts, and KPI targets.
• Oversee AP/AR, facility maintenance, safety, and compliance.
• Lead staff meetings, performance reviews, and training.

The General Manager plans and implements the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPI’s and insurance metrics are met. They are responsible to coach and empower each team member’s performance and success in their individual roles. The General Manager will promote and maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers, and the General Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members. General Managers are committed to leading by example at all times.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint boothProvide training for all staff as necessaryEnsure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm through-put and delivery datesManage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards. Manage store capacity.Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings .
