Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance in the United States seeks a motivated claims trainee to join our team. This entry-level role exposes you to investigation, evaluation, and settlement of claims under close supervision.

You will learn company claim handling procedures, study policies, and develop negotiation skills while supporting agents, insureds, and third parties throughout the life cycle of a claim.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience with property/casualty claims handling is required.
• Ability to organize data, multi-task and make decisions independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication to prepare reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims under supervision.
• Study policies, endorsements, and forms to build foundational knowledge of company products.

This job handles entry-level insurance claims under close supervision through the life-cycle of a claim including but not limited to: investigation, evaluation, and claim resolution. This job provides service to agents, insureds, and others to ensure claims resolve accurately and timely.
