Attention Recent College Grads!

We are looking to hire Auto Claims Adjuster Trainees for our growing Claims department. In this role, you will train to become an Auto Claims Adjuster, investigating and handling coverage-related property damage/total loss claims to ensure prompt, courteous, and fair closure. You will bring proper conclusion to claims involving potential coverage issues, liability, and damages.

This is an on-site position reporting to our corporate headquarters located about one mile south of Chicago Midway Airport.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review and determine course of action on each file assigned, utilizing technical knowledge and experience for the final disposition of a loss.
• Investigate, evaluate, and settle total loss files for insureds and claimants. Follow up to obtain properly signed titles to resolve salvage timely.
• Work directly with internal and external customers to develop evidence and establish facts on claims.
• Conduct thorough investigations and maintain accurate documentation of each claim, including coverage, liability, status, and damages.
• Organize, plan, and prioritize work activities to ensure prompt claim conclusions.
• Handle liability claims by honoring, declining, or negotiating based on coverage and damages analysis.
• Prepare and present claim evaluations for settlement approval.
• Notify Underwriting of any adverse information uncovered during investigations.
• Conduct business ethically, maintaining reasonable expenses and upholding the company's reputation for quality service.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal, written, phone).
• Ability to pass written exams required by state statutes to become a licensed Claims Adjuster.
