Job summary

Onward Insurance - A Knight Insurance Company in Los Angeles, CA seeks an Auto Claims Adjuster to handle first- and third-party property damage claims from investigation through settlement. You will manage a dedicated inventory, investigate coverage and liability, review police reports and repair estimates, and negotiate settlements with claimants and vendors.

Required is knowledge of California auto liability fundamentals, strong organization and communication skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• 1+ years of personal auto claims experience preferred.
• Understanding of California auto liability fundamentals.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage claim inventory independently.
• Experience with claims management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Property Damage claims experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated inventory of personal auto property damage claims.
• Investigate coverage, liability, and damages.
• Review police reports, witness statements, photographs, and repair estimates.
• Evaluate damages and establish appropriate reserves.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants, repair facilities, and vendors.
• Identify subrogation opportunities.
• Escalate SIU concerns when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and diary management.
• Comply with California claims handling regulations and company procedures.

Pay Range: $55,000- $65,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

Onward Insurance, a Knight Insurance Company, specializes in private passenger auto coverage for standard and non-standard drivers throughout California. We are seeking a Auto Claims Adjuster to join our growing claims team in Los Angeles. This position is responsible for handling first- and third-party property damage claims from investigation through settlement.

We are looking for an adjuster who understands auto liability fundamentals, communicates effectively with customers and repair facilities, and is ready to continue developing technical claims skills within a growing organization.

What You'll Do as a Auto Claims Adjuster:

• Manage a dedicated inventory of personal auto property damage claims
• Investigate coverage, liability, and damages
• Review police reports, witness statements, photographs, and repair estimates
