Job summary

Pohanka Automotive is seeking a high-energy, accurate Cashier to join our fast-paced team. You will handle customer transactions and provide friendly, efficient service at the dealership counter.

Responsibilities include processing payments, recording receipts, answering phones, directing customers to the proper department, resolving issues diplomatically, and supporting managers with clerical tasks to keep operations smooth.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office suite is a plus.
• Flexible hours including weeknights & weekends.
• Ability to communicate customers' needs to management and sales.

Responsibilities

• Calculate the customer’s bill using the dealership’s computer system.
• Receive cash, checks and credit card payments and record the amount received.
• Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers.
• Answer phones and direct customers to the proper department.
• Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer to the appropriate person for resolution.
• Operate switchboard telephone system.
• Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner.
• Assist the managers with clerical duties as needed.
• Be friendly, professional, courteous and efficient with customers and employees.
• Familiarize yourself with department structures & internal procedures for assisting customers efficiently.
