Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Morganton, NC is seeking an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with precision. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble cars, using cutting tools and jacks while maintaining speed, quality, and customer excellence.

You will plan repairs, provide cost estimates, and work with teammates to meet KPIs. A high school diploma or equivalent and a technical program or apprenticeship are required. Excellent safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and follow directions with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of auto body repair methods and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle bodies to pre-accident condition.
• Use cutting tools, plasma cutters, jacks, hammers, and pliers for repairs.
• Realign chassis and replace damaged sections with parts.
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and safety standards.
