Job summary

The Boyd Group is hiring an Auto Body Technician in Grand Prairie, TX. You will assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition, disassembling and reassembling components while aiming for speed, quality, and customer excellence.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, estimating costs, repairing dents, replacing parts, realigning frames, and repainting to spec. Requires HS diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Able to work with other repairers in an auto body shop.
• Thorough understanding of repair methods and the tools used in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair dents, replace parts, and repaint vehicles to factory specifications or equivalents.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and KPI targets.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
