Job summary

Crash Champions is hiring a skilled body repair technician in the Cleveland area. You will examine damaged vehicles and plan repairs, then perform high-quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.

Must have frame machine experience, I-CAR welding certification, and knowledge of manufacturer repair processes. You will supervise apprentices as needed. We offer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k with match, 5 paid holidays, and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Certification in body repair preferred.
• I-CAR welding certification is required.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decides on repair vs. replacement considering safety, cost, cycle time.
• Removes upholstery and components to access areas as needed.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice when needed.
