Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences through meticulous repairs that restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles and work toward KPIs while representing the brand with integrity.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus a technical program or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders and work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure WOW plan execution.
• Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers using tools to repair vehicle sections.
• Hammers out dents and applies filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Replace or repair interior parts as needed.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
