Crash Champions in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an experienced auto body technician to inspect vehicles and plan efficient repairs. You will work with teammates to track repair progress, perform high-quality repairs, and decide on repair vs.

replacement while prioritizing safety and cost. The role requires frame machine experience, body repair certification (preferred), I-CAR welding certification, and the ability to supervise apprentices when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience using a frame machine.
• Certification in body repair is preferred.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Ability to analyze and interpret measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must be able to pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examine damaged vehicles and plan repairs.
• Coordinate with team on repair status and progress.
• Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status.
• Decide on repair vs. replacement considering safety and cost.
• Access vehicle interiors by removing upholstery and related parts.
• Attend required safety meetings.
• Prepare repaired surfaces using files, grinders, and sanders.
• Supervise an apprentice when needed and explain procedures.
