Job summary

Classic Collision is seeking an experienced collision repair professional to join our Jacksonville team. The technician will perform disassembly, repair planning, and bodywork to restore vehicles to factory standards, using a range of hand and power tools.

You will ensure quality, safety, and efficiency throughout the repair process. The role requires 2-3 years of collision repair experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read and comprehend instructions.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 2-3 years collision repair experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License Required.

• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Complete disassembly of vehicle to assist Collision Estimators in assessing damage and prepare a 100% Repair Plan.
• Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
• Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic windows, and seat operating equipment to access damaged area; store parts securely.
• Mend damaged body by hammering out or filling dents and welding replaced parts; ensure proper gaps and fits; reassemble after painting.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools (welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.).
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces before turning vehicle over to Paint Dept.
• Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles for safety and quality compliance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Comply with Classic Collision SOPs, safety rules, and guidelines.
