Job summary

The Boyd Group in Horn Lake, MS is looking for an Auto Body Technician to assess and repair vehicles, restoring them to pre-accident condition with speed, quality, and customer excellence. You will thoroughly disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, aligning frames and replacing parts as needed, while applying factory finishes.

You will work with a team to meet KPI targets, adhere to the WOW plan, and complete work within labor time guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school program completion or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers; use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins to repair imperfections.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; replace or repair glass and interior parts.
• Weld or fit parts into place and repaint vehicles with factory or equivalent finishes.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
