Job summary

Pine Belt CDJR MS is seeking an experienced auto body repair technician to perform tear-downs, straighten frames, and replace damaged panels in a busy collision center in Mississippi. You will disassemble vehicles, inspect for hidden issues, and ensure high-quality repair work while coordinating with estimators and other shop staff.

The role requires 2–5+ years hands-on experience, proficiency with frame-measuring equipment and welding tools, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of verifiable hands-on auto body repair experience in a professional collision facility.
• I-CAR or ASE certifications preferred.
• Proficient with frame-measuring equipment, welding tools, and reading technical repair manuals.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Inspection & Disassembly: Perform complete tear-downs of damaged vehicles, match parts against repair estimates, and identify hidden or additional structural/mechanical issues.
• Structural & Body Repair: Straighten bent frames, align unibody components using frame-measuring systems, and hammer out or fill dents.
• Parts Replacement & Welding: Remove damaged panels, glass, or parts and weld, bolt, or bond new OEM replacement parts into position.
• Workflow & Quality Control: Coordinate with estimators, painters, and parts staff to maintain efficient repair cycle times and inspect finished work.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized work bay and follow all OSHA, EPA, and dealership safety rules when handling tools and hazardous materials.
