Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Michigan is seeking an Auto Body Technician to deliver exceptional customer experiences by repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, reassemble, and ensure adherence to KPIs while representing the Brand.

Responsibilities include dent repair, chassis realignment, part replacement, welding, painting, and strict quality control. Requires HS diploma or trade program, with apprenticeship preferred. Benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of technical school program or 3-year apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of auto body repair methods and tool usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair sections of a vehicle.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and interior parts as needed.
• Weld, fit parts, and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalent.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect for quality.
