Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking an experienced body shop technician to examine damaged vehicles, plan repairs, and coordinate with the repair team to maintain on-time status.

You will perform quality repairs, decide repair vs. replace using safety and cost considerations, and supervise apprentices as needed. The position emphasizes safety and efficiency in a fast-growing MSO environment, with Clearwater, FL as the base.

Qualifications

• Experience with frame machines and body repair processes.
• I-CAR welding certification preferred.
• Knowledge of manufacturer repair procedures.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Must pass a thorough background check.
• Certification in body repair preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
• Makes decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to gain access.
• Participates in all required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power and hand tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice and explains procedures.
