Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking an experienced auto body technician to examine damaged vehicles and plan repair processes, coordinating with the team to keep repairs on schedule.

You will perform quality repairs, decide on repair vs. replace based on safety, cost and cycle time, and may supervise an apprentice as needed. Must pass background check and hold relevant body repair certifications. The role includes competitive compensation and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Use frame machine to align damaged vehicles.
• Certification in body repair preferred.
• Knowledge of repair process by vehicle manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification.
• Ability to read and interpret measuring data.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel on the shop floor.
• Must be able to pass thorough background check.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
• Makes decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to gain access.
• Participates in safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with tools.
• Directs an apprentice when needed and explains procedures.
