Job summary

Crash Champions is seeking an experienced auto collision repair technician to inspect damaged vehicles, plan repairs, and coordinate with teammates to keep work on schedule. You will evaluate repair vs.

replacement, and perform quality repairs with safety and efficiency in mind. Qualifications include frame machine operation, body repair certification preferred, knowledge of manufacturer repair processes, I-CAR welding certification, and the ability to supervise apprentices.

Qualifications

• Frame machine operation and safety awareness.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes by manufacturer.
• I-CAR welding certification is preferred.
• Ability to supervise repair personnel.
• Strong inspection and measurement interpretation skills.
• Ability to pass a thorough background check.
• Accurate adherence to shop policies and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Examines damaged vehicle and plans repair process.
• Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status.
• Performs quality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
• Makes decisions on repair vs. replace considering safety, cost, and cycle time.
• Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic components to access areas.
• Participates in required safety meetings.
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces with power and hand tools.
• Directs the work of an apprentice when needed and explains procedures.
