Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Panama City, FL to provide exceptional vehicle repair and restore cars to pre-accident condition. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles and work with the team to meet our speed, quality, and customer-experience goals.

Daily duties include planning repairs, estimating costs, removing damaged sections, replacing parts such as glass, performing welding, and repainting to factory specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Experience with auto body repair tools and methods.

Responsibilities

• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Repair sections of a vehicle using tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts and repair glass as needed.
• Weld and fit parts and repaint vehicles to factory specs.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
