4 - 6 years minimum prior collision repair auto body skilled experience

The Auto Body Technician's primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional customer experience through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of each vehicle to restore it to pre-accident condition. This involves disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles, aligning with our company's standards of speed, quality, and customer service. The Auto Body Technician works collaboratively with team members to achieve repair KPIs and embodies the Brand Ambassador role of The Boyd Group.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
  2. Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates using various tools.
  3. Hammers out dents, applies filler resins, and repairs minor damages.
  4. Realigns car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
  5. Removes damaged sections and replaces with new or aftermarket parts; repairs glass and windshields.
  6. Replaces or repairs interior parts as needed.
  7. Welds, attaches, and fits parts; prepares and repaints vehicles.
  8. Completes work within labor time guidelines and inspects vehicles post-repair.
  9. Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education and / or Experience Required
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Completion of technical school or a 3-year apprenticeship.
Required Skills / Abilities
  1. Ability to read and work with minimal supervision.
  2. Teamwork skills within an auto body shop environment.
  3. Thorough understanding of repair methods and procedures.
  4. Proficiency in using necessary tools.
Other Requirements
  1. Ability to work safely in a noisy, odorous environment.
  2. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  3. Ability to visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
  4. Physical ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat for repairs and inspections.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $22 - $25, performance-based flat rate. Compensation varies based on skills, education, and experience. Bonus opportunities may also be available.
