Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Auto Body Technician in Terrell, TX to accurately assess and repair vehicles to pre-accident condition. You will be part of a team delivering speed, quality and customer excellence while adhering to WOW standards and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include planning repairs, using cutting tools, repairing dents, realigning chassis, replacing parts, welding, repainting, and inspecting outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical school program completed or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
• Ability to read job orders with very little supervision.
• Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies and how to use tools required for the trade.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Plan the repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers, using tools like cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
• Hammer out dents and minor body damage; apply filler resins when needed.
• Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields as needed.
• Replace or repair interior parts as needed; weld and attach parts and repaint vehicles to factory specs or equivalents.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Work safely in a noisy environment and lift up to 30 pounds.
