Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Line Lead to supervise hourly associates in an Inspection Center, ensuring on-time production and high quality. You will coach staff, manage workflow, and drive continuous improvement while upholding Carvana’s safety and value standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and effective delegation in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth across Carvana’s network.

Responsibilities

• Manage the movement of cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely for repairs, while meeting or exceeding production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of assigned team; identify strengths/weaknesses; determine opportunities and steps to improve.
• Provide coaching, development and performance management to the team; give feedback and demonstrate desired skills.
• Create a work environment that encourages positive communication, team cohesion, and Carvana values.
• Proactively communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals to team members.
• Prevent and resolve conflict among team members.
• Monitor adherence to systems, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Review and approve defects of incoming inventory; lead decisions on repairs or rejection based on cost and quality.
• Train production associates using Quality Control standards to minimize re-checks and delays.
• Identify and complete repairs effectively the first time to minimize re-work and delays.
• Work safely to reduce injury risk and maintain clean shop conditions.
• Delegate tasks effectively and manage multiple associates to ensure development and performance.
