Job summary

Carvana in Houston seeks a Body Shop Supervisor to lead and develop a team of hourly associates in an Inspection Center, ensuring safe vehicle movement and achieving production and quality targets. This frontline role is not visa eligible.

You will coach, monitor performance, plan daily work, manage conflicts, and partner with the Inspection Center General Manager to decide on repairs based on cost and overall vehicle quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience with Carvana’s reconditioning process or similar operations.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for extended periods; tolerance for varied shop conditions.

Responsibilities

• Move cars into and out of the Inspection Center safely while meeting production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Oversee day-to-day team activities; identify strengths/weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide coaching, development and performance feedback; reinforce Carvana values.
• Communicate expectations and goals clearly; monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
• Lead a team of production associates and collaborate with the GM on repair decisions and cost assessments.
• Train staff on Quality Control standards to minimize repeats and delays.
