Job summary

Dejana Truck & Utility Equipment, a division of Douglas Dynamics, is seeking a full-time Paint Technician to prep, sand, and paint trucks and vans. You will prime, paint, touch up, mix paints, and ensure color accuracy using spray equipment in a manufacturing setting.

We expect 1–3 years in automotive or heavy vehicle painting, ability to follow instructions, attention to detail, and comfort with hand and power tools. Good physical stamina and teamwork are a must.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–3 years painting automotive/heavy vehicle equipment is a plus.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Self-motivated and able to meet manufacturing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to operate hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Prime, paint, and touch up vehicles with power spray equipment and brushes.
• Mix all types of paints for proper color and consistency.
• Perform titrations and mix or adjust chemicals as necessary in paint or other processes.
• Sand, wash, and condition parts; light bodywork may be required.
• Inspect product before, during, and after paint process to ensure specifications are met.
