Job summary

Greensboro Auto Auction, Inc. is seeking experienced Auto Body Painters for our high-volume shop in Greensboro, NC.

You will inspect repairs, load vehicles into spray booths, and prepare vehicles for painting while maintaining safety and quality. We offer competitive pay and benefits, including major medical health insurance, dental, vision, life, and 401(k), plus paid vacation, holidays and sick/personal days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of painting experience in a high-volume shop.
• Wide knowledge of auto spray painting: paint application, equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Waterborne paint experience is a plus; willing to train the right candidate.
• Experience in masking and taping, cleaning of panels, sanding and filling chips.

Responsibilities

• Inspect quality of repairs received from Body Department.
• Load vehicles into spray booth.
• Final preparation for painting.
• Prepare repaired vehicles for final paint application.
• Prepare and jam new parts prior to installation.
• Paint vehicle and parts.
• Remove vehicle from spray booth.
• Final paint quality inspection.
• Return spray booth and mix room to pre-paint condition.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Participate in ongoing technical and safety training.
• Ensure safe movement of vehicles in and out of the department.
• Adhere to paint production schedule as designated by paint supervisor.
